Breast Lump Treatment

Expert evaluation and removal of breast lumps

The vast majority of breast lumps are benign — fibroadenomas, cysts or lipomas — but every new lump warrants careful clinical and imaging evaluation. Where surgical removal is indicated or preferred, we perform minimally invasive excision under local or general anaesthesia.

Our approach combines thorough clinical assessment, ultrasound imaging and, where needed, biopsy before any decision about removal. Removing a lump does not mean automatic further treatment — most are safely excised with no further intervention required.

Key Benefits

  • Comprehensive diagnostic workup before any surgical decision
  • Minimally invasive excision with well-concealed incisions
  • Histology of removed tissue for definitive diagnosis
  • Peace of mind following complete removal

Is This Treatment Right For You?

  • Patients with a new or growing breast lump confirmed benign on imaging
  • Those with symptomatic fibroadenomas causing discomfort
  • Women or men with lumps that are clinically appropriate for removal

What to Expect

1

2

Biopsy if Indicated

Core biopsy confirms nature of the lump before surgery.

3

Excision

Lump removed through a small, carefully placed incision.

4

Histology Review

Removed tissue sent for analysis; results discussed at follow-up.

Recovery & Aftercare

Most patients return to normal activities within 1–3 days. Incision heals over 2–3 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my lump is dangerous?

Imaging and biopsy provide definitive answers — clinical assessment alone is not sufficient for diagnosis.

Will it come back after removal?

Fibroadenomas can occasionally recur or new ones can develop; a follow-up schedule is recommended.
