Insurance FAQs
Does insurance cover cosmetic treatments at Enfield Royal Clinic?
Coverage for cosmetic treatments depends on your specific policy and insurer. Medically indicated procedures — such as dermoscopy, medically necessary skin biopsies, and certain surgical corrections — are typically covered under most plans. Purely aesthetic treatments such as botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and laser hair removal are generally not covered by standard health insurance but may be eligible under supplementary cosmetic benefit plans. Our patient services team will check your specific policy benefits before your appointment.
Which insurance plans accept direct billing at your clinic?
We offer direct billing for patients covered under Daman (including Thiqa), AXA Gulf, MetLife, Bupa Global, GIG Gulf, Allianz Care, MedNet, NextCare, Cigna, ADNIC, Neuron Health and Salama/Islamic Arab Insurance, among others. Direct billing means you pay only your co-payment or deductible on the day — we submit the claim to your insurer directly.
Do I need pre-authorisation for my procedure?
Pre-authorisation (prior approval) is required by most insurers for surgical procedures, specialist consultations outside your network and any procedure above a certain cost threshold. We manage the pre-authorisation process for you — simply bring your insurance card and a referral letter if your policy requires one. We will handle the rest.
What if my treatment is partially covered?
Some treatments are subject to co-payment (a fixed amount per visit), co-insurance (a percentage of the cost you contribute) or a deductible (amount you must pay before insurance activates). Our patient services team will explain your exact out-of-pocket cost before treatment begins, based on your policy details.
I have international health insurance. Can I use it at your clinic?
Yes. We accept major international health insurance plans including Bupa Global, Cigna Global, Allianz Care and AXA International. Coverage and reimbursement processes vary by plan. We recommend calling our patient services team before your appointment so we can confirm your eligibility and the direct billing or reimbursement process for your specific insurer.
What if I do not have health insurance?
We welcome self-pay patients and offer transparent treatment pricing. Our patient services team will provide a full cost estimate before any procedure. Payment plans are available for eligible surgical treatments — ask our team for details.
