Ear Reshaping (Otoplasty)
Set prominent ears closer to the head for a balanced profile
Otoplasty pins back prominent ears by reshaping and repositioning ear cartilage — creating a natural-looking profile. It is one of the few cosmetic procedures commonly performed in childhood (after age 5) as well as in adults.
The procedure is performed through an incision behind the ear, leaving the scar fully concealed. Cartilage is scored, reshaped and sutured into the desired position, typically in a 60–90 minute procedure.
Key Benefits
- Natural-looking ear position with no visible scarring
- Quick procedure — typically under 90 minutes
- Performed comfortably under local anaesthesia in adults
- Significant boost to self-confidence, especially in children
Is This Treatment Right For You?
- Adults or children (over 5 years) with prominent or protruding ears
- Patients with significant ear asymmetry
- Those with folding or structural abnormalities of the ear cartilage
